Tuesday rallies underway with increased security

Crowds are rallying at the steps of the State Capitol as well as inside in protest of Gov. Walkers’ budget plan to end collective bargaining rights for nearly all public employees.

The American Federation of Labor and Congress of Industrial Organizations (AFL-CIO) is holding a rally today and they’ll lobbying visits with legislative offices. Both today and tomorrow, thousands of Wisconsinites from across the state are expected to rally in a show of solidarity with Wisconsin’s nurses, teachers, EMTs and other public service providers. There are also vigils planned at the Capitol Square today and tomorrow from 3:00-7:00 p.m.
