
Republicans lose two State Senators in the Recall 2011 Elections
In the the July 19 Recall General Election for District 30, Senator Dave Hansen won in a landslide. Democrats gained two seats in Republican territory with Jennifer Shilling defeating Dan Kapanke in State Senate District 18 and Jessica King defeating Randy Hopper in State Senate District 32 in the August 9 Recall elections. In the August 16 Recall elections, Jim Holperin and Bob Wirch both won their races against Tea Party challengers.

After Republicans running as fake Democrats got squashed like bugs in the July 10 Recall Primary, here are the results for July 19, 2011. Republican primaries occurred in District 12 and District 22 where the Democratic incumbents, Senators Wirch and Holperin, will be challenged on August 16. In District 30, incumbent (and proud member of the Fabulous 14) Senator Dave Hansen, D-Green Bay, squashed Republican David Vanderleest in a landslide.
