Dec. 12-Cleaner Valley Campaign announces Listening Session for Menomonee Valley Power Plant
Cleaner Valley Campaign will be having a meeting and listening session for the future plans for Valley Power Plant in Menominee Valley. This plant emits “more than 10 million pounds of sulfur dioxide, 3 million pounds of nitrogen oxide, 699 million pounds of particulates and 2.8 billion pounds of carbon dioxide” annually. It’s one of hundreds of dirty coal plants that are located in low-income and minority populations. Continue reading
