If anyone ever said the words “Reince Priebus” in a sentence, you may think they are referring to a health malady such as a rash in the groin or perhaps a variation of having a festering, puss-oozing sore on one’s buttocks.
Well, you’re close.
Republican National Committee Chairman Reince Priebus is a fully “All In” charter member of the Fitzwalkerstan Cult. He had stated during the Recall election season that the GOP was “All In” to protect the 6 Republicans from being tossed out in mostly Republican districts. Whoops! Two lost! His precious GOP dollars along with the Koch Brothers, ALEC, Karl Rove and other right-wing outsiders tried to run three Tea Party candidates against three Democratic state senators. Whoops again! Zero for three. All the Tea Party candidates got their butts handed to them.
That’s the power of Reince Priebus. Out of nine races run, he lost five. If you count the six fake Democrats that cost Wisconsin taxpayers over $400,000 to run in the first phases of the Recalls who got creamed, Reince’s Recall “All In” record is 5-15. You’ll never hear that mentioned on Fox So-Called News.
So what’s even more interesting about Reince Priebus is that he’s a baldfaced liar. Sure, he gets free passes to lie on friendly or clueless punditocracy cable news shows, but the RNC Echo Chamber keeps repeating his lies. Even right-leaning Politifact calls the Priebus Psychobabble lies:
RNC Chairman Reince Priebus said on MSNBC’s The Daily Rundown on Aug. 18, 2011 that the results show Walker shouldn’t worry about the left trying to recall him in 2012. He argued voters stood with Walker in the face of the challenge by public employee unions outraged over his changes that curtailed collective bargaining for most government workers.
And he put a number on the union’s effort.
“I don’t think he should be worried at all, and if the public employee unions want to flush another $30 million down the toilet, and then allow Scott Walker to be even stronger and win a recall election … then they should go ahead and do it, because the $30 million they flushed down the toilet will be $30 million they don’t have for other races. So, hey, go for it.”
Priebus claimed public-employee unions poured $30 million into the state Senate recalls in Wisconsin.
But the publicly disclosed spending reports that he cites — by our account as well as groups affiliated with the left and right — put total spending by pro-Democrat groups at $15 million or less. And that includes campaigning by liberal groups not connected to unions. Based on available information, even if he meant to say all pro-Democratic spending he was way off.
We rate his claim False.
This lie about how so much money was spent on the Recall elections is just one of many examples of what comes out of Reince’s Priebus. Now we know what “All In” means. Thankfully, the Priebus Machine is still petrified of the Tea Party zombies and will run them in 2012 races and get defeated as well as try to stop Walker’s inevitable recall and we’ll enjoy more of that “All In” effect.
